We're thrilled to announce GameCraft v0.2.0 - a major release focused on user experience transformation! This update brings a complete visual overhaul to maximize first-impression impact and streamline the game creation journey.

This release marks a significant evolution of GameCraft with:

  • Complete Homepage Redesign - 43% fewer sections, maximum visual impact
  • Dashboard Transformation - From admin panel to game creator's workspace
  • Brand Evolution - Chat2Game → GameCraft rebranding

🏠 Homepage Visual Overhaul

The landing page has been completely redesigned to grab new users' attention:

Before vs After:

  • Reduced from 7 sections to 4 sections (43% reduction)
  • Removed text-heavy explanations in favor of visual demonstrations
  • Hero section now features large centered title with vertical stacking layout
  • Live Conversation Demo gets full-width treatment for maximum impact

Key Changes:

  • New Hero layout with text-7xl title and centered design
  • Independent Live Demo section with visual distinction
  • Removed: InteractivePlayground, ThreePillars, CodeUseCases (too text-heavy)
  • Games Showcase moved to prime position for immediate social proof

🎮 Dashboard Transformation

Completely reimagined dashboard from a generic SaaS admin panel to a game creator's workspace:

Simplified Navigation (30+ → 4 items):

  • 💬 Create Game - Start building with AI
  • 🎮 My Games - Manage your creations
  • Examples - Learn from templates
  • Help - Get support when needed

New Game Template System:

  • 6 pre-built game templates (Space Shooter, Runner, Puzzle, etc.)
  • Template categories with filtering
  • 6 inspiration prompts for quick start
  • Target: Create your first game in under 3 minutes!

New Components:

  • ChatGameInput - Main game creation input
  • GameTemplates - Template grid with categories
  • GameInspiration - Quick-start suggestions

⚙️ Space Settings in Sidebar

Space settings now accessible directly from the dashboard sidebar:

  • General - Space general settings
  • Notifications - Notification preferences
  • Members - Team member management
  • Billing - Subscription and payments

No more hunting through modal dialogs!

🏷️ Brand Evolution: Chat2Game → GameCraft

Complete rebranding to better reflect our game creation focus:

  • Application renamed from Chat2Game to GameCraft
  • New domain: gamecraft.dev
  • Updated all references, social handles, and marketing materials
  • "GameCraft" better conveys the creative and crafting nature of the platform

🌍 Internationalization

Full i18n support for all new features in:

  • 🇺🇸 English
  • 🇨🇳 Chinese (Simplified)
  • 🇯🇵 Japanese

🐛 Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Fixed TypeScript inference issues in dashboard routes
  • Improved route organization with cleaner URL structure
  • Removed /space prefix from routes for cleaner URLs
  • Restored SpaceSelector functionality in dashboard
